Q & A

q-and-a

Is your “Spiritual Eco-System Construction Course” for real?

Yes, it is very much for real.  I meet people all the time who are in some phase of the course.  Everyone has their own process and is living their own journey. I don’t have anything to teach, all I can do is orient those as they make their way, and gently remind them o stay out of their own way.

Why is your course $2,000?

The course is $2,000 for those who choose to seek outside themselves for something that is within. There are plenty of people out there who will take your money.  I don’t want your money.  This course is for those already on the journey within. The $2,000 is the punch line to an “inside joke”.

Are you giving any talks or seminars in the future?

The short answer is, “No”.  I have given presentations to some small groups in the past.  If you are interested in having me speak to your group you can contact me,

Do you offer one on one sessions in person, or via Skype?

The long answer is, “Hell No”  I am not a life coach, therapist, or guru, your true teacher is within.  Those who want to write can contact me if they like.  I may not respond right away or at all.

Do you take people hiking?

No, I don’t take people hiking, I am not a tour guide.  That being said, I meet people all the time on the trail, and enjoy hiking with those I meet at random.

Why are your books ‘Free’ to download?

I value my writing and the work I have done.  However, the value I place on my work cannot be expressed by the price of a download.  At $Free.99 the only obstacle between my book making its way to someone is themselves.  If I were to charge for the books most of the money would go to the publishing industrial complex and very little would make it to me.

Do you plan on offering printed versions of your books?

From the perspective of ethical vegans, it would not serve the planet to print any of my books.  The books are available as .pdf file and you are welcome to print copies if you like.  Ebooks allow immediate distribution to a worldwide audience with the click of a mouse. (Note: no mouse was harmed with the distribution of my books)  With so many animals dependent on trees for their survival, it makes no sense harvesting trees, just to print books, when animals will suffer by being homeless and more vulnerable to prey.

How long have you been a vegan?

I’ve thought about it for a brief moment, but have never been a vegan for more than a day.  To me it makes more sense to consume animals that compete with humans for oxygen than it does to consume plants that create oxygen for me to breathe.  The sight of plants growing on a large scale, crammed onto acreages of a farm, only to be mowed down my mechanized equipment, is quite upsetting to my allergies.

Your writing is so deep, do you smoke weed?

No, I do not use any recreational drugs.  I do most of my writing early in the morning, usually accompanied by a cup of decaffeinated coffee.

What kind of tea do you drink?

I drink a wide variety of teas, but my favorite are the high mountain oolongs from Taiwan.  They are lightly oxidized and very pleasant to the palette.  A couple of my favorite are Alishan and Da Yu Ling.

Can I come visit you in Sedona?

You can come visit Sedona anytime you like.  As far as visiting with me?  I’m not that would be beneficial to either one of us.  This is “a” place I call home.  It is not necessarily where I live.  The best months to visit are March/April and October/November.
